ZEISS and LG Chem Collaborate to Enhance Photopolymer Supply for Optics

ZEISS and LG Chem have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen the supply chain for photopolymer films, a key component in optical technology. This collaboration aims to ensure a stable, sustainable supply of materials for ZEISS's Holographic Windshield Displays (HWD) in the automotive sector. The first serial production for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) is projected for 2029.

Under this agreement, LG Chem will provide essential photopolymer films for integration into automotive windshields, enabling advanced display functionalities. This milestone agreement reflects a commitment to innovation and continuity in a market defined by rapid technological advancement and demand uncertainty.
