Advanced Blockchain AG: Successful Annual General Meeting 2024
Berlin, December 5, 2024 - Advanced Blockchain AG ("AB", Scale Frankfurt, Primary Market Düsseldorf, XETRA: ISIN DE000A0M93V6), a leading incubator and investor in the blockchain industry, successfully held its Annual General Meeting for the 2023 financial year yesterday. It was the first Annual General Meeting chaired by Rüdiger Andreas Günther, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and with the participation of the new Management Board. All items on the agenda, with the exception of the creation of new capital, were approved by a large majority.
A key item on the agenda was the election of a new member to the Supervisory Board. The shareholders elected Tom Jakobi, business mathematician and spokesman for the Schutzgemeinschaft der Kapitalanleger (SdK), as the successor to Dr. Olav Sorensen, who resigned from the Supervisory Board in May 2024. "We are delighted to welcome Tom Jakobi, an expert with extensive knowledge in investor communications and corporate governance, to the Supervisory Board. His expertise will significantly support us in the strategic development of Advanced Blockchain AG," commented Rüdiger Andreas Günther, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Advanced Blockchain AG.
Growth strategy and future orientation
During the Annual General Meeting the new Management Board outlined Advanced Blockchain AG's future growth strategy to shareholders. The aim is to shape the networked blockchain economy as a pioneer and tap into new market potential. The company plans to diversify and monetize its portfolio more strongly. In addition, investments in new technologies are to be driven forward. The focus of the investment strategy comprises six areas: Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs), Bitcoin Layer 2 Solutions, Interoperability and Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, Tokenization of Real Assets and modular blockchains.
“After the comprehensive measures to come to terms with the past, we are now looking positively to the future and focusing on promoting sustainable growth and innovation,” explained Maik Laske, CFO of Advanced Blockchain AG.
