Bühler invites to annual results media conference on February 14, 2023 – and highlights its megacasting solutions for the automotive industry
Dear media representatives,
We are delighted to invite you to join our annual results media conference on February 14, 2023. You are welcome to attend in person at Bühler’s headquarters in Uzwil, Switzerland, (at 10:00 CET, before the media conference there will be a tour through the Customer Center) or online (at 10:45 CET) as this is a hybrid event.
Focus on megacasting for the car industry
One of the highlights of 2022 was Bühler’s achievements in its Die Casting business. The global automotive industry is in a state of profound transition, driven by the need for more sustainable mobility, including electric vehicles. A resulting trend is megacasting, the manufacture of large structural aluminum body parts to reduce manufacturing complexity, which can lead to cost savings and a lower environmental impact. Considered groundbreaking by many car manufacturers, megacastings reduce complexity in production by enabling between 70 to 100 steel stamped parts to be replaced by a single die-cast part. With its megacasting solutions, Bühler is a forerunner in the die casting industry. As the first European OEM (original equipment manufacturer), Volvo has announced the implementation of megacasting solutions with Bühler as its technology partner.
