DIC Asset AG achieves full occupancy at logistics property in Wolfhagen
- Long-term lease signed with leading electrical wholesaler
- Increase in letting result in the logistics sector
Frankfurt am Main, 2 March 2023. DIC Asset AG (“DIC”), ISIN: DE000A1X3XX4, one of Germany’s leading listed property companies, just let the last remaining logistics and office units of 5,500 sqm in the logistics property in Wolfhagen to NEWA-Vertriebs GmbH. The new lease is signed brings the logistics centre in Wolfhagen with its roughly 33,300 sqm up to full occupancy, so that the entire floor space of the portfolio owned by the “RLI Logistics Fund – Germany I” open-ended special AIF is now let.
The long-term lease that NEWA-Vertriebs GmbH signed with DIC extends over a six-year period. The company is one of the leading electrical wholesalers for every kind of high-end branded product from the electrical installation sector.
“Following the completion of the annex building, we now achieved full occupancy, and have once again witnessed the growing significance of more remote locations that is fuelled by the persistently pent-up demand for logistics facilities in Germany’s metro regions and their surroundings,” said Sonja Wärntges, CEO of DIC.
“By providing this logistics unit in mint condition, DIC has served our need for a new, conveniently accessible location and for flexible facilities that will support our planned growth in a quick, reliable and straight-forward manner. The unit let on the new lease represents an annex to the existing building that was completed in 2017, adding two units with a combined floor area of 10,200 sqm. Construction of the annex building took environmental and conservationist criteria into account. Main tenant of the logistics centre is Volkswagen Classic Parts. It occupies around 28,000 sqm.
