Eiffage is pursuing its growth strategy in Europe with the acquisition in Germany of Salvia Group GmbH in the energy field
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, signed today an agreement to acquire 51% of Salvia Group GmbH. Located in the Stuttgart area in Germany, the company covers the entire technical life cycle of buildings and is specialized in electrical, HVAC and energy engineering as well as maintenance.
This negotiated transaction will be financed from available cash at hand. It is subject to approval by the European competition authorities and is expected to be completed in early 2024. The remaining capital will be held by the founder of the company with purchase options on 29% of the capital for the benefit of Eiffage. The current management team remains in place and will contribute to further business development.
Founded in 2008, Salvia Group GmbH is a family company with more than 1,600 employees and generated revenue of nearly 350 million euros in 2022. With 28 locations, it operates throughout Germany, primarily in the tertiary and industrial sectors. The company is also at the forefront in supporting its customers’ energy and digital transition.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has already three main subsidiaries in the country: Elomech in the east, Schwarz and Grantz in the north and Nat in the south, employing nearly 1,400 people. It generated more than 200 million euros of revenue in Germany in 2022.
Fifth acquisition of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes in Europe in 2023 following Gain Automation, VSK Kastenbouw, Safety Service (in the Netherlands) and Pulsar Consulting (in Belgium), this new transaction enables the Division to pursue its external growth strategy and strengthen significantly its position in Germany by now having a national player that will drive the development of its business.
More broadly, it consolidates Eiffage's development strategy in Europe which aims to increase its territorial coverage and strengthen its expertise. In Germany, the Group currently employs 5,400 employees spread across more than 40 sites which generated revenue of 1.4 billion euros in 2022 across building, civil engineering, road, railway, metal, energy systems and concessions including motorway PPPs.
