Eiffage wins in consortium the contract
for a section of the line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express in a deal worth €2.54 billion
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has secured, in a consortium with eight architectural firms, a contract from Société du Grand Paris to design and build a section of the line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express. The contract value for this section between the Bobigny - Pablo Picasso and Champigny Centre stations is €2.54 billion.
The contract includes the excavation of 17 kilometres of tunnel, the construction of 15 related rail structures and 2 entrance structures, laying railway tracks, path facilities as well as high- and low-voltage systems and electromechanical equipment (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, smoke extraction and fire safety) in the stations, tunnel and related rail structures.
The consortium, which includes Architecturestudio, Ar.thème Associés, fbcc, BIG-Silvio D’ASCIA Architecture consortium, LA/BA, VIGUIER, and Wilmotte & Associés, will also be responsible for constructing six new stations: Bobigny - Pablo Picasso, Pont de Bondy, Bondy, Rosny Bois-Perrier, Val de Fontenay and Nogent - Le Perreux. It will lead development works of the part of Champigny Centre station dedicated to line 15 East, as well as the construction of an operations centre in Rosny-sous-Bois and two property development projects in Bondy and Le Perreux.
Environmentally speaking, the consortium is committed to reducing the operation’s carbon footprint, notably by using low-carbon concrete and the installation of fibre-reinforced concrete segments. Moreover, the landscaping of 15 hectares of green space has been proposed over the entire project.
Eiffage and its partners have also made social commitments with 1,272,000 working hours allocated to social employment and 25% of revenue allocated to small to medium-sized companies.
Eiffage Construction, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and Eiffage Rail will all be applying their expertise in the works phases, which will begin after a 15-month design phase with a view to handover in 2031 for its commissioning.
This new contract demonstrates the trust that Société du Grand Paris places in the Eiffage group, which has won 35 contracts for the construction of Grand Paris Express. Among these contracts, the Group is currently completing works on lot 1 of the line 16 and has delivered the civil engineering for line 14 South in 2022, demonstrating its ability to manage large-scale projects in the area of sustainable mobility.
