Eiffage wins the contract worth a total of €134 million to build two solar photovoltaic power plants with 300 MWp in total capacity at Córdoba in Spain
Eiffage, via its Eiffage Energía Sistemas subsidiary, has been awarded the contract on behalf of Everwood Capital to build the 250 MWp Cabra power plant and the 50 MWp Olivar power plant in the Andalusian municipality of Montemayor located in the Córdoba province of Spain. The contract is worth a total of €134 million.
The turnkey project incorporates the supply of the main equipment and the high-voltage connection infrastructure, as well as operating and maintenance services.
With a generating capacity estimated at over 600,000 MWh per year, the Cabra and Olivar power plants will generate enough clean energy to power more than 172,000 homes. This environmentally friendly project will also help enhance the local area’s economic appeal through the jobs it will create for the region’s businesses and professionals.

The environmental measures planned include the creation of a surrounding green plant screen, which will mitigate the complex’s visual impact and help foster the biodiversity of the natural ecosystem.
The works have just begun, and the power plants are due to be commissioned starting in June 2027.
Eiffage Energía Sistemas has already built more than 130 solar photovoltaic power plants, representing a total installed capacity of over 7.7 GW, and 102 wind farms with 4 GW in total capacity. These projects have been carried out in various countries, including Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Senegal, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
