Munich, June 22, 2023 – Tradar, the first European Neo-Sports Broker, has successfully concluded a new funding round, raising €4 million. This investment triples the amount of the initial round, which amounted to €1.3 million. With this latest influx of capital, the total funding raised by Tradar since its inception now exceeds €5 million. The round was led by a group of business angels and investors from the football and sports industry, indicating the growing interest in this innovative platform.
Developed by MFC Labs, the Tradar app offers fans a unique opportunity to invest in digital assets in the form of tokens. Leveraging blockchain technology and in collaboration with a German-regulated securities institute, the app provides a secure and transparent trading platform, enabling fans to trade player tokens in realtime. Each token represents a licensed professional footballer from partner clubs.
“We are delighted with the tremendous success of this funding round, which underscores Tradar's significant growth potential and the confidence that investors have placed in us,” said Felix Schmidt, CEO of MFC Labs. “The positive response from investors validates our vision of creating a platform that seamlessly combines fans' passion for sports with exciting investment opportunities.”
Currently, in a testing phase, the Tradar app has already integrated four German Bundesliga clubs into its platform. Users can acquire player tokens from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, TSG Hoffenheim, FC Schalke 04, and VFL Wolfsburg. Additional professional clubs from Germany will be available on the platform at the start of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season. Tradar also plans to expand its offerings to include international clubs and other sports beyond football.
Thanks to its consistent positive development and substantial funding, Tradar is now optimally positioned to revolutionize the sports investment market further and offer fans a unique opportunity to actively engage in the game through their investments in their passion.
