Ophthalmic Industry Leader Erin Schallhorn Powers Joins Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration Board of Directors
ERLANGER, KY / ACCESSWIRE / April 16, 2024 / Erin Schallhorn Powers, a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the ophthalmic industry, has joined the board of directors of the Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration. In her extensive career, Powers has held senior executive positions in strategic planning, marketing, and commercial and medical affairs at leading vision-focused companies, including Johnson & Johnson Vision, Zeiss, Alcon, and AMO/VISX.

Powers, who holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the London Business School, is also actively involved in various ophthalmic organizations. She is the immediate past-President of the Ophthalmic World Leaders organization, serves on the Board of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, is the industry representative on the Oracle Vision Council, Co-Chair of the Women of Dartmouth Development Committee, and a member of the Chief network.
The Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration is dedicated to restoring the gift of sight to patients based on the work of Dr. Edward Holland, a renowned ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of Severe Ocular Surface Disease. Dr. Holland is known for developing The Cincinnati Protocol, a technique that can restore vision to patients who have lost their sight due to severe eye conditions.
