SOWITEC group wins bid for 30 MW wind power project in Grabenstetten

Sonnenbühl, 3 May 2023 – SOWITEC group (SOWITEC), one of the leading developers of renewable energy projects in the wind and solar sectors, is pushing ahead with its activities in Germany. The company has already been selected by the municipal council in Grabenstetten as a partner for a 30 MW wind power project in a preliminary procedure. Subsequently, a residents’ information event and a municipal council meeting were held, in which it was decided, among other things, to lease the requested areas to SOWITEC for the construction of four wind turbines and a 10 MW ground-mounted photovoltaic plant. The urban development contract required for this is to be concluded in May. SOWITEC intends to develop the 30 MW wind power project to ready-to-build stage by presumably 2025. The four wind turbines will produce enough green power to supply approximately 25,000 households.
