Erin Schallhorn Powers Joins Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration Board
Erin Schallhorn Powers, with nearly two decades of experience in the ophthalmic industry, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Holland Foundation for Sight Restoration. Over her career, Powers has held significant roles at major vision-focused companies such as Johnson & Johnson Vision, Zeiss, Alcon, and AMO/VISX. With a background deeply rooted in ophthalmology—her father, sister, and brother are all ophthalmologists—she brings a unique passion to this role.
Powers holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the London Business School. She has been active in several ophthalmic organizations, including as past-President of the Ophthalmic World Leaders organization and a board member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
The Holland Foundation is committed to restoring sight based on innovations by Dr. Edward Holland, specifically The Cincinnati Protocol, which aids those with Severe Ocular Surface Disease. The organization aims to increase access to cornea transplants and leverage ongoing support to enhance the quality of life for patients across the nation.
