Olivier Gavalda Appointed as CEO of Crédit Agricole S.A.
The Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole S.A. has appointed Olivier Gavalda as the new Chief Executive Officer. Chaired by Dominique Lefebvre, the board met on 17 December 2024, following the recommendation from the Appointments and Corporate Governance Committee. Gavalda will assume his position after the General Shareholders' Meeting on 14 May 2025. A transition phase for the General Management will be organized in the upcoming months.
Olivier Gavalda has a long-standing career at Crédit Agricole, joining the company in 1988. His career path includes various roles such as Branch Manager, Head of Marketing, and Deputy CEO of multiple regions, culminating in his current role as Deputy CEO in charge of Universal Bank since November 2022. Gavalda holds a master's in Econometrics and a DESS in organisation/computing.
